Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has introduced a new working schedule for civil servants in levels 1 to 14 to help ease economic challenges faced by residents.

This new arrangement will involve a three-day workweek for these civil servants. The governor announced this during a live media chat called ‘Sanwo Speaks,’ where he also discussed other measures to reduce economic burdens on Lagosians.

He mentioned that this new schedule aims to provide relief and flexibility to workers while addressing economic challenges.

However, teachers will continue with the traditional five-day work schedule, but the government will provide additional transport support to ensure a smooth transition.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized that this change is part of the state government’s commitment to adapting to the changing economic landscape and prioritizing the welfare of its workforce.

The goal is to maintain productivity while also easing the burden on workers through a more flexible work arrangement.
