World record holder Tobi Amusan (OON), has added another colorful feather to her cap after earning a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies and Sports Management from the University of Texas El Paso.
The current Commonwealth and African champion in the 100m hurdles, as well as the meet record holder in three competitions, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the same university in 2019.
Amusan was voted Africa’s Best Female Athlete for the Year by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) in December 2022.

Amusan began her 2023 season on a high note, winning the women’s 200m at the Auburn Tiger Track Classics in a timing of 23.38s, ahead of the University of Auburn’s Chante Clinkscale in 23.56s and Ashantae Harvey in 24.46s.
She is the most qualified Nigerian athlete for this year’s World Athletics Championship, which will be held in Budapest, Hungary.
