Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) and the Oyo State Government have joined forces to create a gas supply and distribution system that will deliver gas to businesses in the state.

According to a statement released by Abimbola Essien-Nelson, the Media Relations Manager of Shell Nigeria, SNG will build and manage the gas distribution network, which will cater to customers throughout Oyo State for two decades.

Essien-Nelson emphasized that the project aims to not only distribute gas but also stimulate industrial and economic growth in Oyo State.

”It will commence with the development of gas distribution infrastructure along a 15-kilometre pipeline route, with plans for expansion to deliver up to 60 million standard cubic feet of gas per day throughout the state.

”This initiative is expected to significantly boost access to clean and reliable energy sources, thereby paving the way for a more prosperous future for Oyo State,” the statement affirmed.

The project’s successful implementation is expected to help advance the socio-economic development of Oyo State and create a cleaner, more sustainable energy future for its residents.
