President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to depart Abuja for Paris, France, today for a private visit.

This was announced in a brief statement on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

President Tinubu is expected to return to the country in the first week of February 2024.

In the meantime, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has refuted claims that there are plans to relocate the Federal Capital Territory to Lagos State.

Onanuga dismissed these reports as dishonest and driven by ethnic and regional interests, with individuals attempting to gain attention for themselves.

He emphasized that this rumor had circulated during the 2023 presidential campaign to hinder Tinubu’s presidency, but it was disregarded.
