The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has reassured the Nigerian public that they have no immediate intention to raise the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol.

In a statement released on Wednesday night, Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi O. Soneye urged Nigerians to ignore baseless rumours and assured them that there are no plans to increase the price of PMS.

“Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country,” the statement added.
