Former Manchester United player Jesse Lingard has successfully undergone a medical examination and is now ready to join South Korean club FC Seoul on a two-year contract.
Lingard, who previously played for Manchester United and the England national team, has been without a club since leaving Nottingham Forest at the conclusion of the 2022–23 season. Finally, he has found a new team for himself.
According to The Standard, Lingard has completed his medical assessment with K-League 1 team FC Seoul and is now on the verge of signing a two-year agreement with the club.
The 31-year-old had been training with West Ham and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, managed by Steven Gerrard, in recent months. However, they were unable to reach an agreement on a deal. There were also rumors of him joining MLS clubs. Before going to South Korea, Lingard was staying in shape by training alone in Dubai.
It is anticipated that Lingard will finalize the contract in the coming days and will be eligible for selection when Seoul starts their 2024 K-League 1 season on March 2.
