Kidnappers Free Nabeeha’s Siblings After 21 Days In Captivity

Published:

The four remaining siblings of the late Nabeeha Al-Kadriyah have finally obtained their freedom.

The sisters and their father were taken on January 2nd in the Zuma 1 area of Bwari Area Council.

Their father was later released so that he could gather the ransom money. However, because the family failed to meet the kidnappers’ demands within the given deadline, Nabeeha was tragically killed.

After her death, the bandits increased the ransom from N60 million to N100 million and threatened to kill the remaining sisters.

The incident garnered sympathy from concerned Nigerians, who offered assistance to ensure the safety of the sisters. The Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the sisters’ release on Sunday morning.

While there are indications that the N100 million ransom was paid before their release, the PPRO stated that they were rescued by the FCT anti-kidnapping squad in collaboration with the Nigerian Army.

The victims were rescued in the Kajuru forest in Kaduna State on Saturday night.

“The operatives successfully rescued the victims around Kajuru Forest in Kaduna State at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday,” she said.
