Kano Governor Sacks Eight Revenue Directors

The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has given his approval for the immediate termination of employment of eight directors from the Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS).

The Chairman of the Board, Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, made this announcement in a circular that was obtained by Allub Times.

The statement instructed the directors to transfer all their duties and responsibilities to their deputies.

According to the statement, “The affected directors include: Director Assessment, Muhammad Kabir Umar, Director Human Resource, Kabiru Magaji, Director Government Business, Ibrahim Sammani; Aminu Umar Kawu, Director Road and Other Taxes, and Muhd Auwal Abdullahi, Director Tax Audit, Investigation & Debt Management.

“Other Directors include Abubakar Garba Yusuf, Director of ICT, Hamisu Ado Magaji, Director of PAYE, and Bashir Yusuf Madobi, Director of Legal & Enforcement.”

The governor said the action is a continuation of his administration‘s ongoing efforts to improve the cleanliness and efficiency of public services.

According to the statement, “I am directed to inform you that the mentioned directors have been relieved of their responsibilities and are to hand over to their deputies immediately.”
