Nigerian singer-songwriter Daniel Benson, nicknamed BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has declared his belief that he will win the world’s most prestigious music award, the Grammy, in the near future.

The afrobeats superstar stated that he is refocusing his efforts on achieving legendary status in the Nigerian music industry.

Together with Ayra Starr and Victony, BNXN covered Teen Vogue’s Africa’s New Wave.

The ‘Finesse’ singer stated that he aims to become a music icon with or without a Grammy.

“Nice to get [a 2022 Headies Award for Next Rated Artist], but not something I’m really hoping for. I’m going to get a Grammy just doing what I do.

“I’m looking for legendary status. I want to enjoy this and take it to the highest level possible, Grammy or not,” he said.
