Fulani youths in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have expressed dissatisfaction with the ongoing detention of Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, the president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, by authorities.
Bodejo’s detention is reportedly connected to his involvement in the establishment of the Nomad Vigilante Group, a semi-official security organization.
During a meeting held in Uke and led by Shuaibu Abubakar, the youths expressed a feeling of betrayal, pointing out Bodejo’s contributions to the electoral success of President Bola Tinubu and other candidates in the 2023 general elections.
The people urged President Tinubu to step in and ensure the release of Bodejo, highlighting his good intentions for Nigeria.
Abubakar stated, “We appeal to President Tinubu to intervene on the matter and ensure the release of Bodejo from detention.
“Our leader means well and has good intentions for Nigeria.”
The Fulani youths are advocating for the establishment of the Nomad Vigilante Group to improve national security and ensure long-term prosperity.
They are urging all levels of government to support this initiative in order to protect lives and property. Shuaibu Abubakar, the organizer of the meeting, emphasized the peaceful nature of the Fulani people and suggested that their self-control prevented protests from erupting in major cities.
“We therefore appealed to the government at all levels to key into the initiative in order to guarantee the security of lives and property in the country.
“If not for the peaceful disposition of the Fulani people, major cities across the country would have been filled up with protesters.” Abubakar added.
The Nomad Vigilante Group was established on January 17 in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives from security agencies and important stakeholders.
