‘Calm Down’ Hit Gets Rema In Guinness World Record

Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has entered the Guinness World Book of Records with his hit song, Calm Down.

The remixed version of the smash song, which features American starlet Selena Gomez, has received over 400 million views on YouTube.

The singer, who is signed to Don Jazzy’s Marvin Records, has continued to thrill with various tunes and now has this feat.

In a statement on its website, Guinness World Records acknowledged the artist for accomplishing the unprecedented achievement.

Rema was honored for having the first number one hit on the world’s first regional streaming chart and the first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to the statement.

Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ debuted at No. 1 when the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) inaugurated the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022.

For more than two months, the song topped the music charts.

Rema, 23, has now joined Femi Kuti and Wizkid as Nigerian musicians with World Guinness World Records.
