President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will replace any minister who performs poorly and fails to fulfill their responsibilities.

During the opening of a retreat in Uyo, the capital of Awka Ibom, on Wednesday, Hadiza Bala-Usman, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy and Coordination, made this statement.

Bala-Usman emphasized that the president is determined to fulfill his promise of improving the lives of Nigerians and will dismiss ministers who do not meet expectations.

She urged the delivery officers and planning directors from various ministries who attended the retreat to fully commit themselves to their roles and take their responsibilities seriously.

She said, “We must understand that the president is very serious about his promises and that ministers will be assessed, and ministers will be dropped if they don’t perform.

“You must understand that as ministerial delivery desk officers, you are the engine room that will provide that feedback, constantly track ministerial progress and report challenges and bottle to the CDCU.”

Bala-Usman clarified that the purpose of the retreat was to familiarize the delivery officers with the structure of the delivery chain for tracking progress and enhance their ability to monitor the delivery plan.

She emphasized that the participants play a crucial role in providing feedback for the assessment and urged them to give their best performance in the demanding delivery plan.
