In the aftermath of an event that many people would like to forget quickly, Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal has shared a chilling account of her brush with death during the Ibadan explosion.

On her Instagram page, the actress and producer revealed that she narrowly escaped becoming a victim, attributing her survival to the mercy of God. Aisha recounted that she initially parked her car to buy ‘suya’ in front of the estate, believed to be the explosion’s epicenter in the Bodija area. However, she later moved her car to another location just before the incident unfolded on Tuesday night.

“Alhamdulilah, for today, I was at Bodija when the explosion happened; in fact, my ears are still ringing from the effect. Thank God for our lives.

“I even parked to buy suya opposite that Estate o! Now, later moved my car from Sloggers Club to the Metro hotel on the same Osuntokun when it happened. Olohun anu oooooooo

“Too many dead bodies, ehhhhhh what exactly is going on ooo. Olohun sanu oooo.”
