Cape Verde has advanced to the knockout round of the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Mozambique 3-0 in Group B in Ivory Coast.

From the start of the match, Mozambique seemed unsettled and made two mistakes near their own goal in the early minutes. This nervousness proved costly, as Bebe scored a strong goal in the 32nd minute, giving Cape Verde the lead at halftime.

In the second half, Mozambique faced another setback when Edmilson Dove, a defender for Kaizer Chiefs, lost the ball, allowing Ryan Mendes to increase the Blue Sharks’ lead.

The Mambas faced a setback when Kevin Pinas scored a powerful goal from outside the box in the 69th minute, increasing their lead to three and making them the first team to advance to the knockout stage.

The Blue Sharks have been strong competitors in the early stages of Afcon, and their fans can be proud of how the team has performed against their opponents.

However, the Mambas struggled to find their rhythm and seemed to be a weaker version of themselves after their 2-2 draw against Egypt. They will need to regroup and make changes before their final group match.
