Huge Explosion Causes Panic In Ibadan

There was a state of panic in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Tuesday evening as the ancient city experienced a loud explosion, causing buildings to collapse due to intense vibrations.

Residents in areas such as Awolowo, Bodija, Akobo, and others reported that cars and houses exploded as a result of the powerful impact.

A resident, who was in a state of panic, informed Told Channels Television correspondent over the phone that Dominos had been shattered and Ace Mall in Bodija had been destroyed. As of now, the number of casualties is unknown.

Saheed Akiode, the Zonal Coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the South-West, stated in a phone conversation with Channels Television that emergency responders, including the Fire Service in Oyo State, have been sent to the scene of the incident on Awolowo Way by Adeyi Avenue, located behind a Central Mosque in Bodija.
