Chelsea managed to avoid another loss to Brentford by securing a 2-2 draw in a thrilling match at Gtech Community Stadium.

As the game neared its conclusion, it seemed like Mauricio Pochettino‘s team would face defeat once again, with Chelsea trailing 2-1. However, Axel Disasi scored a crucial goal with a strong header in the 84th minute to level the score.

While the draw doesn’t significantly benefit Chelsea, it helps Brentford end their three-game losing streak and creates some distance between them and the relegation zone with just over 10 games left to play.

The visitors scored first after dominating most of the first half, while Brentford waited for a chance to counter-attack.

Chelsea had more possession but struggled to score until Nicolas Jackson’s header in the 35th minute. Jackson missed another opportunity by taking too many touches, allowing Mathias Jorgensen to clear the ball off the line easily.

In the second half, Brentford scored twice through Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa in the 50th and 69th minute, taking advantage of Chelsea’s weak defense throughout the game.

The forward scored a fantastic acrobatic goal with an overhead kick past the goalkeeper. Brentford dominated the match, putting Chelsea on the defensive.

The game became more intense as it progressed. Chelsea showed urgency and scored in the 84th minute with a header from Disasi.

Despite pushing for a winning goal, Chelsea couldn’t secure a third goal before the referee blew the final whistle.

The draw means Chelsea remains in 11th place in the league, while Brentford moves up to 16th after Everton’s loss to West Ham. This point is crucial for Frank and his team in their battle against relegation.
