Following his criticism of the current Tinubu’s administration, Nigerian comedian Seyi Law is still standing firm in support of the government.
Despite facing backlash on social media, especially from youths disillusioned by the country’s worsening economic situation, Seyi Law remains optimistic about positive changes.
Seyi Law was a vocal advocate for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 election campaign and continues to defend the government’s actions. In response to criticism, he clarified on social media that his choice was driven by a sincere belief in his candidate’s ability to bring about a better Nigeria.
He said, “I laugh not at your pains, and I know there’s a lot of hardship right now. The fact that I supported a different candidate from you isn’t to spite you, but out of my belief that my candidate will achieve a better Nigeria.”
”I can’t abandon the government that I voted for. I can only join them to bring relief to Nigerians.”
He claimed he was currently in Abuja talking with some government officials to bring hope to Nigerians,
“The cost of governance will reduce, the minimum wage will increase, and food affordability will improve,” the comedian noted.
