Liverpool secured a victory over Nottingham Forest thanks to Darwin Nunez’s header in injury time, keeping their title hopes alive.
Despite the win, Liverpool did not play well, barely challenging the Forest goalkeeper. Forest had more scoring chances, but Anthony Elanga missed key opportunities.
Nunez, who missed the League Cup final due to injury, returned in the second half and scored the winning goal with a header from Alexis MacAllister’s cross.
This win puts Liverpool four points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League standings, ahead of City’s upcoming derby against Manchester United on Sunday.
