Curbing Insecurity: FG Signals Intention To Create State Police

The federal government, led by Bola Tinubu, has indicated its intention to implement the State Police as a solution to the escalating security issues in the country.

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, revealed this to journalists at the State House on Thursday.

Idris made this statement following a meeting between President Bola Tinubu and state governors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He mentioned that the possibility of establishing a state police structure would be further discussed.

Idris also emphasized that there is a significant amount of work to be done, and both the President and state governors have agreed to collaborate on developing the details of this idea.
