Van Dijk scored with a header, Gakpo nodded in a cross from Alexis Mac Allister, Diaz slotted past Thomas Kaminski, and Elliott finished with a clinical strike.
Liverpool’s quick turnaround in the second half sealed the victory.
Liverpool has not lost in 24 home Premier League games and has won each of their last 11 games played on a Wednesday.
Despite falling behind to Ogbene’s header early on, the Reds showed their resilience and turned the match around to win convincingly.
This season, Liverpool has earned 22 points after being in losing positions in the Premier League, which is more than any other team.
This is tied for their highest total in a single campaign, matching their achievement in 2008–09 under Rafael Benitez.
