According to reports, Chelsea has made a decision regarding the future of Armando Broja, considering the transfer interest in Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen.
According to Standard, the Blues have decided to reject Fulham’s pursuit of striker Armando Broja in the upcoming January transfer window. Despite Fulham’s interest in finding a replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has moved to Al-Hilal, Chelsea is determined to keep the 22-year-old. Broja had a significant impact for Chelsea by winning a crucial penalty in a recent 4-4 draw with Manchester City and is now prepared to make himself a part of Mauricio Pochettino‘s plans after recovering from a long injury period.
Even though AC Milan and West Ham have shown interest, Broja is committed to proving himself at Stamford Bridge. The striker is willing to compete for a spot in the starting lineup, as he mentioned in an interview with the Secret Scout YouTube channel.
“A lot of players would get frustrated with a lack of minutes, but for me, I know I’ve come back from a big injury. I need to prove myself again to the manager, staff, club, and fans. I’m blessed to be in the position I’m in.”
Fulham is still interested in strengthening their team by adding more attacking power. They are currently keeping an eye on Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart and Jonas Wind from Wolfsburg as potential alternatives to Broja. Both Raul Jimenez and Carlos Vinicius are going through a difficult period, so Fulham is actively searching for a striker who can help them improve their goal-scoring performance.
On the other hand, Chelsea is primarily focused on signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli. However, they are aware that the Nigerian striker will not be available until the summer and that his acquisition will come at a high cost of over £100m (€115m/$126m). As a result, they are also monitoring Ivan Toney from Brentford, who could be a more affordable option at around £80m (€92m/$100m).
