Popular cross-dresser Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has admitted to charges related to abusing the Nigerian currency.

Bobrisky was brought before the Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday.

When the charges were read to him, Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the first four counts of Naira abuse. He confirmed that he understood the charges and admitted his guilt.

The EFCC’s counsel requested that counts five and six, which involved money laundering allegations, be removed.

The judge agreed and dismissed counts five and six, allowing Bobrisky to be arraigned on counts one to four only.
