Napoli started their new era under coach Francesco Calzona with a 1-1 draw against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg.

Victor Osimhen scored the equalizer in the second half. Calzona, who is also the coach of Slovakia, took over after Walter Mazzarri was dismissed.

Napoli, currently in ninth place in Serie A, managed to salvage a draw thanks to Osimhen’s goal. Barcelona had taken the lead through Robert Lewandowski before Osimhen’s equalizer.

The second leg on March 12 in Barcelona is set up nicely after a draw that both teams will be satisfied with.

The match in Naples was slow at first, with both teams facing managerial changes, but the second half showed potential for an exciting second leg.

Lewandowski, who is 10 years older than Osimhen, and both players are highly sought after in European football.

They both scored impressive goals in the second half, setting up an exciting match in Barcelona.

Napoli, in particular, should consider playing more aggressively after realizing they can challenge their opponents by increasing the speed of their passes in the final third.
