Security is tight at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, in preparation for the burial of former Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe.
Reports indicate that more than 50 private jets are expected to land in Isiokpo for Wigwe’s burial.
Wigwe, along with his wife, Doreen, and son, Chizzy, tragically died in a helicopter crash in the US in February 2024.
Currently, dignitaries, guests, and hundreds of mourners have begun to arrive at the RCCG in Isiokpo.
The state commissioner of police, Olatunji Disu, is leading the security personnel at the venue.
Clerics, traditional rulers from Omoeke (Wigwe’s hometown), and monarchs from Isiokpo were already seated.
Security has been increased in Isiokpo and the surrounding areas.
Family members and friends attended a Christian wake held in honor of the deceased in the community on Friday.
