South African singer Tyla Laura Seethal, also known as Tyla, has finally responded to rumors suggesting that she is dating Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema.
The ‘Water’ singer addressed the rumors and stated that Rema is just a friend In the latest episode of the We Need To Talk podcast.
She clarified that the viral picture of them holding hands, which sparked dating rumors, was taken after she attended one of Rema’s concerts.
“We [Rema and I] are just friends. I went to his show and he happened to hold my hand. And obviously, people will always interpret it the way they do.
“He is not my boyfriend. He’s not my man.”
It is worth mentioning that Tyla recently mentioned Rema in an interview with Apple Music, where she expressed her desire to take him as her prom date.
