Reps To Hold Valedictory Session Wednesday

The Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, is slated to deliver his valedictory speech during the session, while principal officials of the House will present goodwill messages, according to the announcement.

The House of Representatives will hold a valedictory session on Wednesday (tomorrow), ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on Tuesday, June 13.

Dr Yahaya Danzaria, Clerk of the House of Representatives, made the announcement on Tuesday.

The Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, is slated to deliver his valedictory speech during the session, while principal officials of the House will present goodwill messages, according to the announcement.

Gbajabiamila, who was elected for a sixth consecutive term in the February/March general elections, has accepted the position of Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu.

Channels Television reported that the inauguration of the 10th assembly would also contain comments and goodwill messages by members, former presiding officers of the House, and former Clerks to the National Assembly.

He stated that the Speaker of the House would present certificates of membership to members of the 9th House during the session.
