After overcoming fierce competition to sign him for a reported €60 million (£52 million), Endrick, 17, is scheduled to transfer from Palmeiras to Los Blancos in the summer when he turns 18.

In 60 games for Palmeiras, the forward has already racked up 17 goals and two assists despite his youth. During the November international break, he was awarded his first two Brazil caps.

Speaking about the influence of Real Madrid icons like Ronaldo, Endrick stated that the Portuguese superstar was a major factor in motivating him to relocate to the Bernabeu.

He said to A Bola, “He’s my biggest idol—a player who broke all records by being an exemplary, dedicated player.”

He is more than just an athlete; he is a man that everyone should look up to because, in addition to being humble, he always strives to be the best, win championships, and reach major life milestones.

“Any player who wants to advance in their career should look to him.”

Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 for a then-record £80 million, and he stayed there for nine years.

In 438 club games, the forward scored 450 goals and took home 15 trophies, including four Champions League crowns.

Endrick, meanwhile, recently travelled to Madrid to get settled and meet his future teammates. He also witnessed their 4-1 victory over Villarreal.

The 17-year-old further stated that this merely piqued his interest in joining Carlo Ancelotti’s team at last the following summer.

He continued, “I’ve always wanted to play for Real Madrid.” It has always been my top priority, and now that I’m in Madrid, I can feel the surroundings, my potential teammates, and the amenities a little more closely.

“I was overjoyed, but we’re going to flip this switch off and turn on another one when we get back to Brazil. I have more of this first semester with Palmeiras to play, and I want to win every title I enter.”
