A protest led by members of the Truck Drivers Association in Etsako West Local Government of Edo State caused major disruptions for road users on Tuesday.

The drivers blocked the busy Benin-Auchi-Abuja road, preventing vehicles from continuing on their routes.

The protesting drivers used their trucks to block the Jattu junction of the highway due to frustration over the delayed road reconstruction by the federal government.

This roadblock created a significant traffic jam, stretching from Auchi to the Agbede area of the road.

As a result, vehicles heading towards the South-South, South East, and North were unable to use the road.

The protest, organized by a group called Concerned Citizens of Edo State, aimed to highlight the poor condition of the roads and urge the federal government to take action.
