The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will visit Nigeria in May 2024.

Their visit is centered around the Invictus Games, an international sporting event created by Prince Harry to provide a special opportunity for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women to participate in sports and aid in their recovery.

During their visit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will meet with Nigerian service members and take part in various cultural activities, which is expected to boost morale and garner more support for the Games in the country.

Nigeria’s successful outing in the competition last year, where they won gold and silver medals, shows their potential as a future host nation, according to Defense Minister Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru.

The Invictus Games, with 500 participants from 21 nations, serve as a strong symbol of resilience and hope for veterans.
