Pape Sarr Extends Spurs Contract Until 2030

Published:

Senegalese international Pape Matar Sarr has extended his contract with Tottenham Hotspur through 2030.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been a revelation this season, standing out in Ange Postecoglou‘s revamped squad thanks to his all-action playmaking style and ground-covering abilities.

He has started 16 of our 20 Premier League games this season and has played in 18 of them. He scored his first goal for the team in a 2-0 victory over Manchester United in August, and then again on New Year’s Eve in a 3-1 victory at home against AFC Bournemouth. Currently, he has made 33 appearances across all competitions.

Pape was loaned back to the Ligue 1 team after he left Metz in August 2021. He played in 27 games there in 2021–2022 and was a member of Senegal’s victorious Africa Cup of Nations team in February 2022.

With 14 appearances, he made his debut for Spurs the previous season. In one of the most important matches of the year—the Champions League round of 16 first leg against AC Milan at the San Siro in February 2023—he stood out as part of a youthful midfield tandem with Oliver Skipp. Pape currently has 16 caps after making two appearances for Senegal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
