Victor Osimhen, a player for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, was unable to travel with the team to Bouake for their AFCON semi-final match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana due to abdominal discomfort.

However, he has now recovered and joined the rest of the squad on Tuesday.

Osimhen remained in Abidjan under the care of the Nigerian medical team, with the expectation that he would rejoin the team once he felt better.

The Napoli forward successfully recovered from his illness and was able to travel to Bouake as planned. He took part in the Eagles’ final training session on Tuesday before the important semi-final match against South Africa.

“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday. He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today,” the team posted on social media.
