South Africa’s head coach, Hugo Broos, has stated that his team is determined to reach the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Bafana Bafana will face the Super Eagles in the semi-final at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake, on Wednesday night.

Although the Super Eagles are considered the favorites, Broos believes that his team has the potential to surprise Jose Peseiro’s men.

“Reaching the semifinal is very special for South African football,” said Belgian coach Broos, who led Cameroon to win the 2017 AFCON.

“Maybe we can make a surprise (vs. Nigeria) now.

“The hunger is big to play the final next Sunday.”
