Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija, is reportedly going through a tough time in her marriage after more than thirty years with her husband, Modupe Alakija.

The former socialite, who is now a gospel minister, has apparently separated from her husband, as reported by The Will newspaper.

Sources mentioned in the report say that the couple has been having frequent arguments, leading them to decide to live apart.

Modupe Alakija is said to no longer stay overnight at their luxurious home in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The rumored strain in their marriage has caused Folorunsho Alakija to ask for privacy, which has led her husband to find another place to stay in the Ikoyi area.

Although the reasons for their marital issues are not known, insiders believe that the couple has been pretending to be united because of their status in Nigerian society.

Folorunsho Alakija, the founder of FAMFA Oil Limited, is known for her success as a businesswoman, philanthropist, and minister.

This news about their marriage troubles comes at the same time as reports about Folorunsho Alakija’s health problems, particularly concerning her eyes.
