The death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in 2023 was an unfortunate incident that led to protests nationwide in 2023.

Months after the tragedy, the artist’s father, Mr. Apostle Oluwabamiwo Aloba, also known as Omo Jesu, announced the forthcoming release of a gospel album.

Mohbad died at the age of 27 in September 2023, a death that left a significant impact on the Nigerian music industry.

Colleagues and fans from across the country paid tribute to the late artist, with protests held to investigate the circumstances of his death.

In homage to his son, Apostle Oluwabamiwo Aloba is preparing to unveil an album titled ‘Itunu,’ meaning “comfort” in English.

This upcoming album is poised to join the extensive collection of tribute songs dedicated to the late musician, who held a prominent position as one of street hop’s foremost representatives.
