Liverpool managed to come back and secure a 1-1 draw against Manchester City, but they were disappointed with the missed opportunities that could have led to a win in a crucial Premier League title race match.
Manchester City scored first, with John Stones scoring from a corner kick by Kevin De Bruyne.
Liverpool had chances to equalize before halftime, with Dominik Szoboszlai missing a close-range header and Luis Diaz shooting narrowly wide from 20 yards.
It only took five minutes into the second half for the score to become 1-1. Alexis Mac Allister scored from a penalty kick after Ederson fouled Darwin Nunez.
This led to Liverpool putting pressure on the opposing team. They had many chances to take the lead, but Diaz missed some big opportunities.
Stefan Ortega, who replaced the injured Ederson in goal, stopped Nunez from scoring. Jeremy Doku also hit the post on the other side.
Both teams ended up with a draw, leaving Arsenal at the top of the table due to goal difference, with 10 games left in the season.
