The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) will pronounce on the outcome of the 2023 presidential election today, Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Remember that the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Bola Tinubu was proclaimed the winner of the February 25 polls by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

However, the outcome was contested in court by Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidates of the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election, respectively.

Tinubu’s victory was also challenged by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Security has been increased at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) and other crucial places in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of the tribunal’s decision.

Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has arrived before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Senator Ireti Kingibe, the member representing the FCT in the Red Chambers, and Valentine Ozigbo, the former gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra, are also LP chieftains in the court.

The presidential tribunal as judges are due to arrive at 9 a.m., according to Vice President Kashim Shettima.
