Yusuf Shitu Galambi, a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the House of Representatives, has accused President Bola Tinubu of tricking the national parliament during his budget presentation on Wednesday, November 29, by showing an empty alleged sectoral allocation breakdown box.

Allub Times reports that Galambi made the claim while replying to queries in an interview with BBC Hausa.

According to the NNPP legislator, Tinubu’s address did not include any sectoral allocations of funding to education, health, or other areas.

Galambi accused the National Assembly of being complicit in the crime by covering up for the administration, stating that the house leadership actively conspired with Tinubu to deceive the MPs.

The legislator stated that Tinubu undoubtedly read his budget address to them, but they did not see the budget statement in the box.

Part of his words read, “There is nothing in a small box that the president bowed down and placed in front of the parliament hall.

“The President read the budget for us, but yesterday the budget for each employee, as usual, was not brought.

“We checked the book he kept, but we didn’t see anything in it.”
