PSG’s Kylian Mbappe recently discussed his future in an interview, suggesting that he may consider leaving Europe.

In a conversation with GQ, the 25-year-old took on a philosophical tone as he reflected on the growing number of players who have left Europe in the past year. He specifically mentioned Lionel Messi and Neymar, his former Paris Saint-Germain teammates, who have moved to MLS and the Saudi Pro League, respectively.

Mbappe seems to be open to the idea of leaving European football behind, stating that his turn to leave will come sooner or later.

“Many great players who have left their mark on football history have left Europe this summer, and we are entering a new era of football,” Mbappe told GQ. “It’s the normal cycle of this sport and at one point it will be my turn to leave. These changes do not concern me, and I am simply thinking of continuing my career following my own path.”

The captain of France’s national soccer team is now in the final six months of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and is now able to negotiate with other clubs. It was widely believed that Kylian Mbappe would eventually sign with Real Madrid, but it seems that Real Madrid has lost interest in pursuing him and is satisfied with their current group of younger players.

Due to financial fair play regulations, there are limited options for Mbappe to consider as alternative destinations. While he mentioned the possibility of playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) or the Scottish Premier League (SPL) in an interview with GQ, it would be surprising to see him leave Europe at this point in his career.

Behind the scenes, recruitment departments, agents, and accountants are working on determining Mbappe’s future. Meanwhile, on the field, Mbappe continues to score goals, with 19 goals in just 17 appearances in the French Ligue 1 this season. He will have a chance to extend his scoring streak for PSG in a cup match against third-tier team Orleans on Saturday night.
