King Charles III of the United Kingdom and the 14 other Commonwealth realms has been admitted to a private hospital in London for a procedure to address an enlarged prostate.

The 75-year-old monarch was admitted to the London Clinic on Friday, which is the same hospital where Princess Diana is currently recovering from abdominal surgery.

It has been reported that King Charles III visited Princess Kate at the hospital when he arrived.

Buckingham Palace released an official statement expressing gratitude for the well wishes received and stating that the King was admitted for scheduled treatment.

It reads, “The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment. His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week.”

However, the statement did not provide specific details about the nature of the procedure or how long the King is expected to stay in the hospital.
