President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially ended the investigation led by Jim Obazee into the operations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Tinubu had appointed Obazee as a special investigator to look into the CBN and other related entities in a letter dated July 28, 2023.
Tinubu expressed his gratitude to Obazee, a former Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), for his service as the Special Investigator.
Tinubu praised Obazee’s dedication and expertise in handling this important national task.
The investigation concluded on March 31, 2024, after Obazee submitted a final detailed report and returned all equipment used.
Law enforcement and regulatory agencies are now taking further action based on the findings.
