Nigerian artist Jaywon weighs in on the ongoing feud between fellow musicians Eedris Abdulkareem and Burna Boy, calling out both for their perceived arrogance.
The conflict erupted when Burna Boy, reacting to comments reportedly made by Abdulkareem in an unreleased podcast, shifted blame onto those who had financially supported Abdulkareem during his kidney transplant in 2022, rather than holding Abdulkareem accountable.
Abdulkareem swiftly hit back, condemning Burna Boy’s remarks as “truly saddening and very disappointing.”
In response, Jaywon acknowledged Abdulkareem’s significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry, asserting that, while deserving of recognition, his arrogant demeanor often overshadowed his achievements. Jaywon further noted that Burna Boy appeared to be following a similar path.
“Eedris has contributed a lot to the Nigerian music industry, was he applauded for that, NO and it was all because of his arrogant behavior, and that’s exactly what Burna too is doing so when I say ‘what goes around comes around’ is actually for the both of them! Las las everybody go collect. Na just time!” Jawon said.
