Nigerian popular musician Davido was attacked by an unidentified man while on stage at his Timeless concert in Lagos on Sunday.
The record-breaking fourth studio album, “Timeless,” by Omo Baba Olowo, was celebrated with a homecoming event in Tafawa Balewa Square.
The rowdy concertgoer who had pushed his way through the massive throng to the stage midway through the performance attacked the singer.
The attacker could be seen pointing at the musician in a video that was becoming viral on social media, who seemed prepared to defend himself.
Thankfully, the security team moved quickly to drag the intruder off-stage.
After the event, the show went on.
The Timeless Concert is Davido’s first performance since losing his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in a swimming pool accident last.
His uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, attended the show.
