Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejoined AC Milan in the role of senior advisor for Red Bird Capital Partners.

Ibrahimović will collaborate closely with RedBird, the owner of AC Milan, and Gerry Cardinale in order to assist the team and the group in the coming months and years.

Ibrahimović in his words, said, “My affection for AC Milan is unwavering. The dream was to come back. I will assist Red Bird and AC Milan in various ways.”

During his journeyman career, the 42-year-old played for the Italian capital city club for two stints. In the first, he transferred to AC Milan after leaving Barcelona between 2010 and 2012. And the second was during his time with Milan from 2020 to 2023, when he came back to guide the Milanese team to a historic Serie A championship.

After an 11-year wait, Ibrahimovic cemented his legacy with the team and helped Milan win the Italian domestic league title in 2022.

After the 2022–23 season with the Capital City club, Ibrahimovic made the heartbreaking decision to end his illustrious career, but it is now said that he will be assuming a role on the club’s board.
