Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, for accusing him of paying people to attend a Thanksgiving event.
Wike expressed regret for supporting Fubara to become governor, claiming that Fubara deceived him with false pretenses.
The feud between Wike and Fubara continues despite a peace deal brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
Fubara defended himself by pointing out the large number of supporters at a rally, stating that it shows the “organic support his administration has continued to enjoy from the people of the state.”
“Some days ago, somebody said we are busy renting crowds for Thanksgiving.
“But what I have seen here today is not different from what is happening at those Thanksgiving rallies. People are just appreciating God and good governance,” he said.
