Former Real Madrid star Jorge Valdano has given Kylian Mbappe a trip from the airport to provide a getaway from Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG continues to treat the French forward as an outsider, and he has been forced to practice away from the first team after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour squad.

He will also reportedly miss PSG‘s Ligue 1 opener against Lorient owing to an ongoing contract dispute with the club, while a summer move to Real Madrid is also being discussed.

Valdano, a former Los Blancos player and sports director, has added gasoline to the fire by claiming that he would love to pick up the French attacker from the airport if his move to Madrid is confirmed.

“If people are still angry with him, don’t worry, I’ll pick him up at the airport,” he stated after speaking at the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) headquarters.

As the transfer situation continues to unfold with twists and turns, some Madrid fans have grown irritated with the French superstar. Valdano said that predicting whether Mbappe would join Real Madrid this summer is tough at the moment, but he would love to see the French sensation at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“At the moment, it is not a case. It is, for the moment, a non-case. I hope it becomes a case,” he said with a laugh.

Real Madrid has remained silent on the Mbappe situation until now, but the Spanish giants are expected to make an offer in the last week of the transfer season to secure their man. Meanwhile, PSG remains confident that Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid as a free agent when his contract at Parc des Princes expires next summer.
