The Enugu State Governorship Election Tribunal affirmed Governor Peter Mbah’s victory in the March 18, 2023 governorship election.
The Chairman of the Tribunal’s panel, Justice Kudirat Akano, delivered the decision on Thursday, dismissing Hon. Chijioke Edeoga/LP’s accusation that Governor Peter Mbah’s NYSC discharge certificate was falsified.
It was determined that Mbah did not submit his NYSC certificate to INEC in support of his fitness to run for governor because he was already qualified without one.
The panel dismissed Edeoga’s witnesses, stating that the LP governorship candidate failed to submit any acceptable evidence that the governor’s certificate was faked.
