Cole Palmer established a new club record in the 4-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

Since moving from Manchester City to Chelsea in the summer, Palmer has been an important member of the team.

Of his 19 Premier League games for the Blues, he has started 15, including Sunday’s match at Stamford Bridge against Wolves.

The 21-year-old scored in the 19th minute of the game to give Mauricio Pochettino’s team the perfect start. This was the player’s third straight home goal in all competitions.

Palmer used his weaker right foot to grab onto Moise Caicedo’s inch-perfect pass and slip the ball into the bottom corner.

With his tenth league goal of the 2023–24 season, Palmer not only gave his team the lead but also broke a club record.

He made Premier League history as the first player under 21 from Chelsea to score ten goals in a single season.

Palmer’s early goal, sadly, didn’t mean much since Wolves rallied to win all three points in West London.
