Afrobeat singer CKay recently delved into the intricacies of his collaboration journey with fellow musician BNXN, formerly known as Buju.

In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, CKay disclosed that the track titled ‘Hallelujah’ initially featured Seyi Vibez and BNXN. However, the version eventually released included Blaqbonez.

Meanwhile, Ckay noted that BNXN requested to be removed from the song, while Seyi Vibez’s management failed to clear his verse.

Regarding BNXN’s decision, CKay admitted uncertainty, stating, “One thing I can tell you is that BNXN asked to be taken off the record [‘Hallelujah’]. Why he asked to be taken off the record is a question you will have to ask him.”

Despite these challenges, CKay expressed no regrets about releasing the version with Blaqbonez, emphasizing its successful reception as a hit.
