Manchester City are concerned about Erling Haaland’s fitness as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League match.
Haaland has left the Norway national team’s camp and has returned to the UK for additional evaluation.
The striker suffered an ankle injury during Norway’s 2-0 victory against the Faroe Islands on Thursday.
He will be unable to play in their game against Scotland on Sunday night, which is six days before the Reds visit the Etihad.
Norway team doctor Ola Sand has disclosed that the 23-year-old is experiencing significant pain.
Sand also stated that Haaland’s foot movement is currently limited, preventing him from participating in the match against Steve Clarke’s team.
