Following the club’s acquisition by a consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in May 2022, Chelsea has been extremely active in the transfer market, spending over £1 billion on 30 new players.

The Premier League’s profitability and sustainability criteria also mean Chelsea is looking to dispose of a number of players in order to finance further incomings, even though more additions are anticipated in the forthcoming January transfer window.

Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah, and Armando Broja are among the Blues players who may be leaving as a result of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s declaration that the team must “improve in the next transfer market.”

Gallagher has started in every Premier League game this season save one, and he frequently captains the team, yet Chelsea is reportedly willing to let him go for a sum of almost £40 million.

According to the report, Gallagher is drawing significant interest from Tottenham after turning down the opportunity to join Everton in January. Gallagher wants to stay, but there ‘has been no hint of any further negotiations’, according to reports. The 23-year-old has 18 months left on his deal.

Chalobah has apparently been connected to several teams, including Bayern Munich, Tottenham, Roma, and Crystal Palace, and is reportedly being offered for sale. Broja, on the other hand, might leave if Chelsea decides to acquire another striker.

They have their eyes on Ivan Toney of Brentford, Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen, and Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig. According to the article, left-back Ian Maatsen, who has just 18 months left on his contract, could also be moving.

On the day of the transfer deadline earlier this year, Chelsea accepted a £31.5 million approach from Burnley; however, the 21-year-old eventually turned down the offer. Manchester City is reportedly one of Maatsen’s admirers, and West Ham has been linked with a January move for the player.

Centre-back Malang Sarr, who hasn’t even been named on Chelsea’s Premier League roster, is expected to leave the club next month after being linked to teams like Roma, Sevilla, and Besiktas in recent weeks.

Since coming from Nice in 2020, Sarr has only played eight league games, spending most of his time on loan at Porto and Monaco. Although he did have a buyout option when he moved to Monaco last season, he was unable to make a name for himself in the starting lineup.
